Have you seen those videos where people record themselves every time they want to buy something as an exercise in impulse control? Imagine one of those videos but it’s a running note on my phone and that’s essentially what this post is. I love items and things and have a magpie-like tendency to gather delightful objects around myself, but sometimes you have to let the desire for a Sylvanian Families blind box wash over you and through you and when the desire has gone you turn the inner eye to see its path and oops, I got two, one for me and one for a friend.
In no particular order, a sample set of things I desire:
- Even more perfume samples after very recently receiving four perfume samples as a gift (Clue Perfumery get a stockist in Canada challenge)
- A sticker of a cat that says “scram!”
- Casio watch ring, that due to me being who I am as a person (hashtag sensory issues) I would never wear
- Casio vintage (or reproduction, I’m not picky) AQ-800EG-9A watch
- Tiny vintage my little pony figurine like the ones that I had as a kid (see photo)

she’s beauty and she’s grace, etc, also why did the person who listed this on ebay choose such a dead skin coded background
- Keychain that’s a HP Sauce packet with resin in it so it looks like it has sauce in it still
- Paper punch shaped like a postage stamp
- Pink mastercraft mini toolbox
- Toyo toolbox (actually if you order one from the Toyo site you have more colour choices and wowowowow)
- Smasnore light from ikea
- A 3D printed phone stand that swings back and forth so that the movement registers as walking and helps me hatch eggs in Pokemon Go
- A 1:6 scale artisan made wooden casket (ok yes I hear myself but imagine it as like, a purse, lmao)
- The same headlamp my dentist has, so bright, where do they even get those
- Three (or six, or why not nine, honestly thank god it sold out) meters of red velvet in a cotton/silk blend
- A second hand long arm quilting machine
- FPP pattern of a cow being abducted by a UFO (tbh will probably purchase this soon)
- Chainmail making supplies/chainmail making class registration
- A beautiful vase made of reclaimed glass in Kenya (extremely gorg vase, doesn’t having it shipped across an ocean to me kind of undo the environmentally friendly part, also there’s probably someone here who makes reclaimed glass vases, but good lort it was pretty, probably a good thing for my wallet that I can’t remember the store name)
- A small iron (like palm of your hand size) and a wool pressing mat to have on my desk even though my ironing board is right beside my desk
- T-shirt that’s like those bikini body shirts but instead of a bikini it’s armor
- Moka pot shaped like a crow hahaha it costs $180 usd
- Lino carving tools
- This bird quilt pattern which, frankly, I’m going to purchase as a reward when I finish my current quilt
Oops I did it again bought it, here I stand I can do no other:
- Black Cherry Liqueur / Champagne Socialist (a very affordable Lost Cherry / Tom Ford dupe)
- A full set of Polly Pocket gachapon keychains
