I’ve heard it said, that people (the Merlin bird ID app) come into our lives for a reason (wanting to know more about birds) bringing something we must learn (how to differentiate between various bird calls) and we are led to those who help us most to grow (in our knowledge of birds) if we let them (use the app) and we help them in return (occasionally log birds in eBird citizen science style). Now I don’t know if I believe that’s true, but I know I’m who I am today (someone who can hear a bird, say “I think that’s a chipping sparrow” and be correct), because I knew you (the Merlin bird ID app).
